Petzval

I recently purchased this unique lens that was first introduced in 1840 by Joseph Petzval.  This new lens is from Lomography and is manufactured in Russia by Zenit.  The lens is unique in a few ways.  Instead of the traditional black or silver finish, this lens is finished in brass.  The aperture is selected by inserting the correct aperture plate and finally, the focus is via a focusing screw at the bottom of the lens.  The image from this lens can be very sharp in the center.  Really a unique lens well suited for portrait photography.
